Even before the project started I knew who I wanted to work with. For the last big assignment we had in the class called the "Film Pitch Project" me and my group seemed to have a great dynamic as we all got along very well and worked creatively and productively. As soon as we got together to begin brainstorming, we read the directions and made sure we understood it all very clearly. Next, we made Estefania pick the number that would label the genre we were going to be using and because we got the miscellaneous option, we had a lot of freedom to choose wisely. At the end, picking Adele's "Send My Love" seemed like the best idea since its lyrics in a way narrated a good story we could tell through the video. The last thing we did that day was make a schedule on a document that we shared with each other so we knew what we should be done with on certain days.
The next class, we focused on starting on the research chart and also on the storyboard. Doing the research was relatively quick and easy, we all decided on two companies, "Columbia Records" and "Republic Records"which worked out well since Adele is part of Columbia, meaning finding out more about her album "30" and its distribution, production, and marketing would help us a lot with what we wanted to do. For the storyboard we had tons of ideas that were a little difficult to put together, but at the end we managed to come up with a good story and got to work. The class after we began our presentation on Canva as well as our discussion of where we were going to film and what people we were going to use.
The last class we worked on the project, we also worked on the presentation and kept making plans to figure out what we were going to do for the filming. Estefania offered her uncle's house since she said it had a good outside as well as a room to record the scenes in. As for the people, Lauren agreed to be our main character while I would play the "new lover" and Estefania convinced her brother to play the guy for the video. As for Luisa, she said she would bring a good camera to get good video quality for the video. That weekend in the morning we all met up on Estefania's uncle's house as agreed and began to work. Now, we only need to begin the editing and finish the presentation on Canva.
